Why is it that one day you are so motivated and so ready to take care of business and by that I mean: clean the kitchen, clean the bathrooms, do laundry, go to the cleaners, get groceries, clean the windows, classify the mail, prepare a gorgeous meal... etc. etc. etc. - you name it, while other days you can barely get up the couch and stay away from the TV.

I go from cleaning and organizing so franticly that you would think I suffer from some type of disorder, to just step over piles of mail and completely ignore it all - to watch HGTV endlessly (well, this mostly happens on Saturdays while DB is away racing during the frostbite season).

I don't like either one of these two stages; if you do too much in a very short period of time you basically get worn out and if you just seat around and watch TV all day (ignoring that every little bit counts and that baby-steps are the key to complete all those projects on your to do list) then you don't get anything done.

To me, balance is the key and how to achieve that balance still remains a mystery. Sometimes I think I got it, but then... it doesn't last that long and I'm back to where I started.

Perhaps, the way to go is to try to stay balanced one day at a time. How do you do it?

-----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- ----------  ----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- Anniversary Post...

Friday, February 18, 2005

Last night was our 13 months wedding anniversary... since we were in Antigua during our first year Anniversary, I thought that a proper anniversary post with a proper wedding photo was in order.

We celebrated like any other normal couple would: first we watched the apprentice and then ER. Did I mention pizza, chicken wings and soda? Life is good.

Happy Anniversary to us...

-----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- ----------  ----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- Valentine's Day...

Monday, February 15, 2005

A perfect Valentine's Day:

Unexpected flowers at the office.

Dinner on a fantastic "not too expensive" restaurant - not too far from home "Cafe Bella".

A romantic movie (even if it was not as good as we thought it would be) "The Wedding Date".

Feeling as if we ere dating again.

And then... the next day, on my way to work finding the the most beautiful card with the loveliest message ever.

Ahh... did I mention e-mails and messages from friends and loved ones?

Hope you all have a lovely and happy day in the company of those you love.

Happy Valentine's Day (a day later).

Finally, all the ice and snow on the river has melted; just a week ago you would have mistaken my back yard with Alaska. See the proof below:

-----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- ----------  ----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- Back from blog exile...

Monday, February 7th, 2005

I'm back from blog exile. Sorry I've been missing in action, there is just so much going on:

* Too much snow.

* Too many e-mails (to catch up).

* Too much work.

* Too many phone calls to make.

* Too much to do at home (too many boxes to unpack, too many repairs, too much organizing, too much to clean, too much mail, too many gifts to send by mail).

Anyways, I can't and shouldn't complain. Regardless of all the things that we have going on, life is good, it sounds likes a cliché - but so far it only gets better.

We had a wonderful year 2004 (remember our wedding and our honeymoon) and I could not have wished for a better way to start this New Year.

It was good to go home (to the Dominican Republic) and visit with all my family and friends.

I'll should post a photo of my little Christmas gift (I have no words to describe how wonderful it is), but you know me and how long it takes me to post photos - so, lets change the subject.

Thanks for coming back to this old forgotten corner.
