It's not Monday anymore...

Tuesday March 29th, 2005

I know it is not Monday anymore, it has been more than a week from the day I ask you to come back for a little surprise.

I mentioned once - that it was about our little Christmas gift. I am sorry, but the photos are not digital and they need to be scanned (I do not have a scanner). I should get them sometime tonight.

So, before March is completely over, stop by this corner one more time and I'll promise to share a photo of the wonderful gift I received last Christmas.

In another note, I hope you are enjoying the beginning of Spring and the nice weather. It has been raining here for the last day or two, which is very exciting - that means that the real Spring is just around the corner. I can see little sprouts peeking thru the dirt, I can wait for the little secrets of our new little gardens to be revealed.

Thursday, March 17th, 2005

It looks like you'll have to wait until Monday night to take a peek at the little surprise I had in mind for you. Sorry!

In the mean time, here are some more photos - only 14 months later...

As we say in Spanish "recordar es vivir".

-----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- ----------  ----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- Getting Closer...

Wednesday March 16th, 2005

As I was driving home from work tonight, I realized that if I sleep a little less (I'm not a morning person) and start leaving work at a decent time, I might have enough time to complete some of my to-do's. So, let's see how that goes in the next couple of days.

The weather has been nice for a change (this has been a very long winter); it has been around 40 degrees for two days in a row - which is a very good thing.

Talking about good things... I could not be happier for Martha, I have always been a big fan of her, her magazines (specially Martha Stewart Weddings) and her Television Shows. I personally think that she is very hard working and talented person. She has a wonderful, talented and very capable staff; let me tell you that it was very hard for me not to renew my subscription to Martha Stewart Weddings - one of the most beautiful and informative wedding magazines I have ever come across. I still keep all the issues I received while I was engaged and specially the very first issue I bought (just a few weeks before I got engaged - don't ask me why it was hard to resist) - "Winter 2003" - there I found some of my most important vendors Priscilla of Boston and the Pantry Press. If I am not mistaken the incoming Spring edition will have a special article about Wedding Cakes, which gives me the perfect excuse to get it, since it will be the perfect gift for someone I know.

For now, it is time to go to bed and catch up on my sleep, I just don't seem to get enough now days and the idea of getting up earlier it's not quite sinking in my head.

Good nigh and thanks for stopping. If you can stop by tomorrow, I might have a little surprise for you.

-----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- ----------  ----------  ----------  ----------  ---------- Seeking balance...

Monday March 14th, 2005

For some reason I feel a big sense of accomplishment every time I get a lot of mail ready to go out of the door.  Last week I had more than 15 envelopes ready to be mailed, between belated cards, bills and small packages that I needed to send a long time ago, I finally felt as if I was getting close to get some balance.

But here I am again, 179 e-mails on my home inbox (there is no junk mail) and a very long list of things to do, people to call and so much to take care of. Don't even ask me about work - it just never ends.

Winter keeps sticking around, we have been having snow storms pretty much every other week, we had one on Saturday and they are predicting more snow for Friday. I just can't wait for spring.

I'm in the process of updating a few things around here, so bare with me and come back soon.
